Geist is a reservoir in the northeast corner of the Indianapolis area. The Geist area refers to the area around it, including northeast Lawrence Township in Indianapolis, and Fall Creek Township of Hamilton County in the eastern part of the Fishers area. 96th Street, which separates Indianapolis from Hamilton County, runs through the middle of the reservoir. Hence, many of the residential parts of the Geist area are in Lawrence Township, while many are actually in Fall Creek. |

The Lawrence Township part of the area (south of 96th Street) is served by Lawrence Township Schools, while the Fall Creek Township part of the area (north of 96th Street) is served by Hamilton Southeastern Schools. |

ABOUT FISHERS, INDIANA
Located in Southeastern Hamilton County, Fishers has three exits off of I-69 just 15 miles northeast of Indianapolis. The transportation routes of I-465 and I-69 make Fishers a very convenient place to live and do business. The Metropolitan Airport is located in the area and you can reach the Indianapolis Airport in 30 minutes.

Government
Fishers is served by a town council form of government with a town manager and clerk. The town Municipal Complex is the site of the town hall, train station, library, post office, fire and police department.
Recreation
The town has two parks, a 34 acre municipal park with an activities building and athletic fields and an 11 acre neighborhood park with ball fields. Fishers holds a summer festival and parade each year.
